Netflix Casts Perfect Performer for Bon Clay in One Piece Third Season
Baroque Works is set to make a major impact in the next installment of Netflix’s show of One Piece, even if the real showdown isn’t set to occur until season 3, and a cherished, fan-favorite member has recently been selected.
The streaming service revealed recently that Cole Escola has joined the One Piece upcoming season’s lineup and will embody Mr. 2. The role possesses the power to change into an exact copy of any person they’ve laid a hand on with their dominant hand. Escola, who is identifies as non-binary and uses they/them pronouns, will depict a version of that character reinterpreted as gender non-binary, rather than as a drag queen, in the real-life adaptation, as in the original manga and anime.
This performer is joined by several other recently announced actors who will portray Baroque Works to the screen, such as leader Mr. 0, played by the well-known actor, a talented actress as Miss Goldenweek, and a familiar face, who will appear as the cast as the monarch of the fictional land.
Even though the role is a major member of the organization, the persona will be introduced in One Piece the third season. With the next season set to cover the Little Garden arc, this marks a significant shift in the schedule of Bon Clay’s introduction, one that could signal further changes to the narrative framework.
The actor’s combination of precise humor and profound feeling makes them a ideal selection for the part. In addition to their latest vocal work in the animated coming-of-age film Boys Go to Jupiter, they received high praise and multiple awards for creating and performing in the hit comedy play Oh Mary!, showcasing the adaptability they’ll add to one of One Piece’s most celebrated characters.
Netflix's live-action One Piece show is scheduled to come back for its next installment on March 10, 2026.
