Iran's military claims to have hit a American military facility in Bahrain, as the country executed strikes across the region in response for a large-scale and ongoing assault targeting the nation by the US and Israel.

The defence ministry of the United Arab Emirates stated that the nation has been subjected to a "a blatant attack involving Iranian ballistic missiles".

"Emirati air defenses dealt with the missiles with high efficiency and successfully intercepted a number of missiles," it added.

The statement noted missile fragments fell on a residential area in Abu Dhabi, resulting in some structural damage and killing a civilian.

The US Air Force is stationed at Al Dhafra Air Base, to the south of Abu Dhabi, along with the Emirati Air Force.
