Former Physician Faces Assault Allegations Against Thirty-Eight Patients
Prosecutors have stated that a ex- doctor now faces charges for performing assaults involving thirty-eight victims who were patients.
The Grave Allegations
The accused, Nathaniel Spencer from Birmingham is accused of dozens of acts of sexual assault – some of which involve acts against children younger than 13 – between 2017 to 2021.
One deputy chief prosecutor stated, “Legal teams have worked at length to support a thorough and intricate police inquiry, carefully reviewing the evidence to determine that there is sufficient evidence to proceed to trial and that it is in the interest of justice.”
The Police Inquiry
The charges come after what investigators called a “complex investigation” into alleged assaults at medical facilities: the Royal Stoke university hospital and a facility in Dudley.
Spencer will appear at the local magistrates' court on 20 January.

Prosecutors outline the forty-five sexual offences he is charged with:
- Fifteen counts of sexual assault.
- 17 counts of penetrative assault.
- Nine counts of assault on a minor under thirteen.
- Three counts of assault of a child under 13 by penetration.
- One count of attempting to assault by penetration.
